What is your shipping policy?

We offer free standard shipping on all U.S. orders of $50 or more.
 
COVID UPDATE: Shipment carriers are experiencing significant delays due to covid-19. While we have updated our shipping timelines to account for these delays, please note that we cannot guarantee delivery timelines - even on expedited orders.
 

What is your exchange / return policy?

 
FREE EXCHANGES:
Let's get you the right fit! Exchanges are always free. Mark your exchange request on our EXCHANGE / RETURN form and send your order back in its original condition within 45 days.
 
EASY RETURNS:
Products can be returned for a refund within 45 days of delivery if still in their original condition. An $6 return processing fee will be deducted from your refund to help offset shipping costs. To start a return, complete our EXCHANGE / RETURN form and print a prepaid return label. Please allow up to 5 business days for refunds to hit your payment method. While we never expect product quality issues, any products with defects will be returned or exchanged free of charge.
 
Due to COVID delays, please allow 5 - 9 business days for exchanges and returns to be processed.

How do you make shirts from recycled bottles?

We work with a recycler to convert post-consumer plastic bottles into polyester yarns, which are then knit into fabric in Los Angeles. This process is possible because plastic bottles are made from PET, the same polyester variant used to make performance fabric.
 
Here's how the process works:
 
  1. Post-consumer plastic bottles are collected
  2. Plastic bottles are cut up into flake
  3. Plastic flake is melted down into chip
  4. Plastic chip is extruded into polyester yarn, with spandex added for stretch
  5. Yarns are knit into our custom performance fabric in Los Angeles

Is microplastic pollution something to be concerned about?

Yes.
 
While making fabric from repurposed plastic is a step in the right direction towards sustainable activewear, all polyester apparel can still pollute the planet through microplastics (little pieces of synthetic fabric that fall off when you wash clothing). These microplastics can make their way through wastewater facilities, and ultimately end up in the ocean.

  1. The wash bag protects your clothes from abrasion as they wash so they don't break down and shed microfibers
  2. The wash bag collects over 90% of microfibers that do fall off your synthetic clothing while being washed

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Orders ship within 1-2 business days from our warehouse in California.
 
US Shipping:
Please allow 5 - 9 business days for standard shipping depending on your location, with addresses on the west coast shipping faster. If you chose expedited shipping, you can expect 2 - 4 business days shipping time.  
 
International Shipping:
We cannot estimate shipping time due to country-by-country variances. Please contact us if you have concerns about your order.
 

Do you ship internationally?

We do ship internationally, however we do not offer free shipping on international orders.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery dates and are not responsible for any taxes and/or duties applied to the shipment in the receiving country.  

What happens for lost or stolen shipments? I never received my package.

MANTRA is not responsible for lost or stolen shipments. That's why we highly recommend purchasing Route Shipping Insurance with your order. Any insured orders that are determined lost or stolen will be replaced by Route - learn more about Route.
 
Think your package was lost / stolen?
 
If you purchased Route Shipping Insurance and your package is missing, file a claim with Route here. Place your claim immediately if your tracking number has not updated for 14 days or more.
 
If you did not purchase shipping insurance, you will be responsible for filing a claim with the shipment carrier (UPS or DHL) to try to locate the missing package. Once your claim has been filed, please contact us directly at humans@madebymantra.co with information regarding your situation and your claim number. We will assist as much as possible.
 

I need to make a Route Shipping Insurance claim

File a claim with Route here.

Please note the claim requirements for Lost, Stolen, or Damaged-in-transit items:
 

Lost

  • US: File claims no earlier than 7 days and no later than 30 days from the last shipment tracking update
  • International: File claims no earlier than 20 days and no later than 30 days from the last shipment tracking update
  • Make claim no later than 60 days from order date

Stolen

  • File claims no earlier than 5 and no later than 15 days from when it was marked delivered
  • Orders over $100 USD require a police report

Damaged

  • File claims for damaged items with photos of the package and item (required) and no later than 15 days from when it was marked delivered
